Origins
AAH Back Massage Inc. was founded by me, Allison Wong. In between job opportunities, not sure if it was the stress or poor sleep that caused muscle tension in my back and shoulder muscles, especially between my shoulder blades. In an attempt to relieve the tension, I backed up against the edge of a wall and applied pressure to the muscle on each side of the spine, one side at a time. Couldn’t really get the area between the shoulder blades. Achieved some relief after a really long time. Thought, what if I could find something that; protruded out a bit more, could apply more pressure to the muscles on both sides of the spine at once, or to one specific spot, ultimately feel better quicker. The desire to find a way to get rid of the pain drove me to come up with something that I think you will find is very special.
The Apparatus
I designed an apparatus from baked clay, and stuck it to the wall with VELCRO ™. What a great feeling when I tried it, AAH! Made several versions until I was satisfied that this was the solution to my back pain and tension.
Relief
A few days after creating the apparatus, needed to paint my son’s room. The paint store sales person advised that painting by hand with a paint brush instead of a roller produces a much nicer finish. That night after applying two coats of paint, went to bed and the pain between my shoulder blades was unbearable - burning like it was on fire. Got out of bed, and rubbed the sore areas on the apparatus hanging on the wall. Within 15 minutes the the pain was replaced by the wonderful feeling of a deep tissue massage. The unbearable burning sensation was gone. My experiences are proof that this little product is a dream come true. Often when you really need a massage, you might not have a masseuse standing by to rub out tension in various areas of your back or shoulders. Now I’ve come up with a solution that allows anyone to rub out their own back and shoulder tension at anytime, hands free, and I want to share this little dream with the world.
This wonderful little device also relieves pain in my shoulder and arm from prolonged use of the computer mouse. Simply use one prong of the apparatus to locate the pain in your shoulder/arm, gradually apply more pressure as needed until the pain is replaced by the feeling of a deep tissue massage, and AAH!
